I think I might have a bone bruise, JFC that still hurts.

Jeepy, unbeknownst to me, has a faulty part in the hinge in the driver's door which made it sag about 1/16 of an inch. Apparently, this was enough to slowly fuck things up because I shut the door after getting home from picking up dinner and it wouldn't stay latched. So I tried the hip thing and hurt myself. Then I decided to see what was wrong. The latch had busted free of the panel and was free-floating around in the door. It took an hour and a half for me and dad to rig something to fix it. We finished...about an hour ago and I still can't feel my toes. But at least the door shuts now and I can drive it back to school.

I am freezing so much oh my god.

I guess when Zack and Sephiroth are paying house calls in my dreams to tell me to put down the freaking PSP, stop playing Crisis Core and finish my website for class, I probably should.

Yay guilty conscience.

I had a sudden craving for nostalgic music and, much to my dismay, I couldn't find a decent compilation that adheres to my simple rules. These rules are NO FUCKING SPICE GIRLS and NO GODAMN BOY BANDS. So I decided to make my own.

And so my Thanksgiving has ended for this year.

And I felt alone. So very, very alone. Why does it feel like the world doesn't give a shit about me wanting to just be happy?

I find myself dreading Thanksgiving with the in-laws more and more every year. I'm sorry, but I can't take anyone that thinks Palin is, and I quote, "brilliant and much better suited for president than Obama" seriously. All of them but my one cousin think that way, and I can't get a word in edge-wise without being dogpiled into submission and told that "I'm too young to understand" and my "liberal elite college is poisoning my mind."

I didn't think this year would be worse than last year, but LOL it was. I had to scarf the food and excuse myself and go for a walk to clear my head. It was painful to listen to them do nothing but parrot Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh and then congratulate each other on being so witty.

*sigh*

For all my American friends here on LJ, hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Oh, and try not to pity me too much for working this afternoon/evening. Holiday pay is a beautiful thing, y'know.

And believe me, I have a lot more to be thankful for this year than most, thanks to everyone. :)

I hate to use the term "sore" in a negative context, but it does hurt. ;_;

I gave up on the gym that was supposed to be opening near the hospital. It looks like they offer fighting/MMA, but so far, no gym. So I went with the gym in Ramona that's been there in some form or other for years. It's been great so far, though my ass is officially kicked right now by the classes. I'm sore as hell, but a couple days off will help with that. Guess we'll see how things go over the next several months.

(In Christmas news, I might put up a short wish list. Haven't decided yet.)

I've asked around various places but gotten no responce. Does anyone have a Jade Empire save with a female character in the Imperial City?

We have mice again. That's like the third time this year. Grrr.

So Mom just told me she cares about me keeping my room clean and other such things because she wants to see me responsible, out of here, and on my own.

It was on the tip of my tongue to tell her she had that chance back in Spring. She had the chance to let me live on my own and be responsible for myself, but she blew it. She sabotaged it because she thinks I can't handle it, then she bitches about my staying here and not keeping my room pristine.

Yeah. Fuck you, Mom.

I finally got around to finishing Dragon Age. I think when i play again, I'll play as a Mage. I sooo did not dig the 30 seconds to Mars ending song, ugh. Such an over rated band, but what else do you expect from a former musician, eh?

No video games tomorrow, i gots me a comic to work on and dragons to draw. :P

I started reading Hetalia.

I don't mind doing work at work, I really don't. When the mail comes or fliers or whatever come in on my shift, I am all over it. That's what they're paying me for. But it pisses me off when work from the last shift gets passed on to me because the dipshit manning the desk before me was too lazy to do it themselves.

You had eight hours to check people into Thanksgiving break housing. It takes two clicks to check people in after they've signed the form. What is wrong with you?

I called Dustin because he was out sick today and missed the best Japanese class ever, so I had to tell him all about it. We learned how to say we were doing two things simultaneously and then had a massive round of charades that involved getting drunk while crying, dancing while shaving, and eating ramen while riding a bike (among a a metric crapton of other really stupid things that would likely end in a hospital visit).

His mom ended up picking him up for break early today because he was sick, so he's already home. His family is annoying the hell out of him, so when I called, he ended up talking to me in Japanese for ten minutes to piss them off. I'm too lazy for this outside of class, so I just reply in English. We usually do this after class anyway while walking to the HUB for food and it gets us a lot of strange looks. But it pissed his family off so much because they had no idea what he was talking about, and he was badmouthing them the entire time. XD

ETA: Dustin just sent me a text about a dream he had last night. I suspect he was on more than Nyquil.

This past weekend was so freaking busy between going to Altoona on Saturday and Mom visiting on Sunday and then projects and interviews and insomnia and this week is just going to be a nightmare. I think the interview went well, but I have eighteen other competitors. ):

Internship interview first thing tomorrow morning for a copy-editing position at the Philadelphia Inquirer. ;-;

New computer (nicknamed THE BEAST) with Windows 7 and everything's shiny and fast and awesome.

Except.

My modem doesn't work and apparently isn't supported and doesn't work(it's very old). I suppose I need to get a wireless modem as a replacement but I'm not sure how to go about it.
